Moncktonized Trend
A 'Moncktonized' trend is a term that describes a climate trend chart that has either been manipulated or faked by using incorrect data, or data used out of context. This can/does include using short term data (weather) to misrepresent long term trends (climate). In this graph, we can see the information used to misrepresent context on multiple items. The Moncktonized trend is overlayed on top to show just how far form reality the fake trend is shown.
